The short version. BrnzyBot is a hobby-scale tool that helps your WoW raid with gear and log analysis. Use it for that, don't abuse it, and understand it's provided as-is. The free plan caps at 20 commands per server per day. Patron is $7.95/month per server, billed through Stripe, US-only for now, cancel any time. By adding BrnzyBot to a server, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of BrnzyBot ("the bot", "we", "our"), a Discord bot for World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Classic raids, operated by Joseph Schafer, a sole proprietor in Scituate, Massachusetts, USA. By adding BrnzyBot to a Discord server, or by using it, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't add or use the bot.
1. What BrnzyBot does
BrnzyBot provides gear optimization, healer and rotation analysis, raid-prep audits, boss strategy lookups, and sim exports, using public Warcraft Logs data. The core analysis is deterministic: it comes from data and a solver, not a guess. An optional AI layer may explain results in plainer language; it does not invent the underlying numbers. Features may change, improve, or be removed over time.
2. Eligibility and your responsibilities
You must meet Discord's minimum age and follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines when using BrnzyBot. To add the bot to a server you need the Manage Server permission on it. You're responsible for how you and your server members use the bot.
3. Acceptable use
Don't:
- Abuse, overload, or attempt to disrupt the bot or the service it runs on, including trying to evade the free-plan rate limit.
- Attempt to access data belonging to other servers or users, or reverse-engineer the service to do so.
- Use the bot for anything illegal, or in any way that violates Discord's rules.
- Resell or repackage BrnzyBot's output as your own paid service.
We may rate-limit, suspend, or remove the bot from a server that abuses the service.
4. The Patron subscription
- Free plan: 20 commands per server per day, no charge.
- Patron: $7.95 per month, per Discord server. It removes the daily limit and unlocks custom stat-weight overrides. It's a per-server subscription, so it covers everyone in that server.
- How to subscribe: a server admin runs
/subscribe, which provides a secure Stripe checkout link tied to that server. We never see your card; Stripe processes the payment. - Billing region: Patron is currently US-only, while we operate as a US sole proprietorship. International support is planned.
5. Billing, renewals, and cancellation
Patron renews automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel any time by running /cancel or through the Stripe customer portal link it provides. When you cancel, Patron access continues to the end of the current billing period, then the server reverts to the free plan. There's no partial-period proration. If a payment fails, Stripe retries automatically; if it ultimately fails, the server reverts to free until payment is fixed.
6. Refunds
If something's genuinely wrong, email [email protected] or use /feedback category:billing and we'll make it right. A full refund or a payment dispute removes Patron from the server.
7. Your data
How we handle data is described in the Privacy Policy. In short: we store only what the bot needs, never sell it, and you can delete it any time with /deletemydata or /deletedata.
8. Availability and "as-is"
BrnzyBot is an independent, small-scale project run on modest infrastructure. We try to keep it running and accurate, but it's provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its recommendations are perfect. Gear and strategy output is decision-support, not gospel; use your own judgment. Warcraft Logs data and Discord's platform are outside our control.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, BrnzyBot and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the bot. Because the free plan is free and Patron is a low-cost service, any direct liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the month the claim arose.
10. Not affiliated
BrnzyBot is an independent fan-made tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord, Blizzard Entertainment, or Warcraft Logs. World of Warcraft and related marks are trademarks of their respective owners.
11. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms as the bot evolves; we'll update the "last updated" date and note significant changes on the BrnzyBot page. We may suspend or discontinue the bot, or remove it from a server, at our discretion, especially for abuse. You can stop using BrnzyBot any time by removing it from your server.
